The presented studies focus exclusively on the technical and aesthetic evolution of architectural styles. The analysis of contemporary political, religious, or ideological contexts is expressly outside our scope.
The term refers strictly to the period and currents of architectural thought from the late 19th century to the second half of the 20th century. It does not imply an assessment of later artistic or cultural movements.
Defined as those whose application and working techniques have a documented genealogy prior to the Industrial Revolution. Their study here is limited to their integration and reinterpretation in new structures.
Methodology used to contrast formal and compositional principles between different eras and cultures. It does not constitute a value judgment on the superiority of one style over another.
